We will quantify and locate the cause of damaging transients and identify solutions to minimize or eliminate them.

A Transient Switching and Stability study will:

• Determine the size of the snubber filter capacitors and resistors to reduce the transient levels

• Increase equipment protection by eliminating, reducing, or controlling the transients to a safe level

• Increase facility reliability

• Minimize misoperation of protective devices and switching equipment
