Seattle Aquarium Pier 59

Overlooking Elliot Bay, the Seattle Aquarium is among the top five paid visitor attractions in the Puget Sound area. Opened in 1977 and host to 22 million vistors, the aquarium has six major exhibits that focus on coral reefs, birds, marine mammals, and animal life in the Puget Sound. The facility staff also conducts research on marine life and promotes marine conservation to the thousands of guests that come through the exhibits.

The electrical distribution system for this facility has two paralleled, 750kVA utility transformers servicing the 1600A main switchboard. The two sectioned switchboard then provides power to the two floored building consisting of elevators, restaurants, and a gift shop.
