California Montessori Project - Elk Grove Campus
The Elk Grove Campus of the California Montessori Project (CMP) currently serves kindergarten through 8th grade students from Sacramento, Elk Grove, Galt and other nearby cities. It is one of six CMP campuses in Sacramento and El Dorado Counties.
The project involved the construction of a building that would house 14 classrooms and a large gymnasium/multi-purpose room. PowerStudies, Inc was hired to perform Short Circuit and Protective Device Coordination studies. The power system for this building involved a main switchboard which then fed distribution panels, load panels and step-down transformers. The protective devices supplied for this system were Square D Thermal Magnetic and Solid State Trip breakers with adjustable Long Time, Short Time, and Instantaneous and Ground Fault functions.
