Generator Sizing and Motor Starting

A Generator Sizing study will determine the correct size of generator that will support your facility loads and enable you to start your larger motors.  The Transient Motor Starting program will plot the generator voltage, frequency, and current versus time as various motors are started.  The study will determine the minimum size generator, the order and delay time in starting the larger motors in your system.  We will calculate and plot the following:

  • Generator Terminal Voltage

  • Generator Current

  • Generator Frequency & Speed

  • Motor Terminal Voltage

  • Motor speed from initial acceleration to full load

A Generator Sizing / Motor Starting study will...

  • Determine the minimum generator size needed to support the facility loads and start the larger motors.

  • The order and delay time when starting larger motors.

  • This study will prevent oversizing the generator and save you money and time.

  • It will Increase facility reliability
