OSHA Announces Top Violations for 2023

OSHA announced the most-cited violations for the fiscal year of 2023 . OSHA defines a “serious” violation as “one in which there is a substantial probability that death or serious physical harm could result, and the employer knew or should have known of the hazard.” The 2023 preliminary data showed many similarities to the year before, with Fall Protection – General Requirements (1926.501) being the #1 cited violation for the 13th consecutive year.
