| "We wish to compliment you on the excellent report rendered for the subject plant. The existing and additional new facilities were clearly presented. The breadth of data developed was extensive. And finally, the over-all organization and presentation of data was both practical and attractive. Many thanks."

Seattle Library
|
| The dramatic glass and steel structure at 1000 Fourth Ave. in the heart of downtown Seattle was chosen to make the building open and translucent, according to Rem Koolhaas of OMA, the Dutch architectural firm that designed the building in a joint venture with LMN Architects of Seattle. Passers by on the street will be able to look in and see activity on every floor of the library.
The electrical distribution system for this project consisted of a main switchboard (3000 Amp). A 1,250 kW generator provides emergency power to an 2000 ampere emergency distribution switchboard.
